Why families choose Metta Law
The difference a considered approach makes
Family legal matters require more than technical knowledge. They require a team that understands what is at stake for the people involved — and approaches each case accordingly.

Six reasons families trust Metta Law
Deep family law expertise
Our practitioners work exclusively in family matters. This focus means a depth of knowledge that generalist firms cannot match.
No pressure, your pace
Families are not hurried toward decisions. Every stage moves at the pace that feels right to you, with no artificial timelines.
Plain-language communication
Legal processes are explained in terms you can act on. Written summaries after each key stage mean nothing falls through the gaps.
Transparent, stage-by-stage fees
Costs are outlined clearly before any work begins. You decide whether to proceed at each stage — there are no locked-in commitments.
Cross-border experience
International family situations require knowledge of more than one legal system. Our team has extensive experience with mixed-nationality and expatriate cases.
Strict confidentiality
Attorney-client privilege is observed throughout. Your information is never disclosed, and all records are held securely within our practice.
Professional expertise
Thai Bar registered · 15+ years practice
Metta Law's practitioners are registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and have worked in family law for over fifteen years. Expertise in the Thai Civil and Commercial Code — as it applies to marriage, property, and children — is the foundation of every matter we take on.
- Thai Civil and Commercial Code family provisions
- Custody and parental rights proceedings
- Asset division and marital property
- International private family law
A structured, clear process
Written summaries · Stage-by-stage clarity
Each matter follows a clear structure: an initial consultation to understand your situation, a written summary of what was discussed and what options are available, then a decision — entirely yours — about whether and how to proceed.
For mediation and formal representation, each new phase is outlined before it begins, including what it involves and what it costs. Nothing proceeds without your knowledge.
Service built around you
Personal point of contact · Flexible scheduling
Each family is assigned a consistent point of contact who knows their situation. You will not find yourself explaining your circumstances from the beginning every time you reach out. Appointments are available including Saturday mornings for those with weekday commitments.
Straightforward pricing
No hidden costs · Clear from the start
Our service fees are set out clearly: ฿4,400 for a Family Matter Consultation, ฿10,300 for Mediation & Agreement Support, and ฿17,200 for Full Family Representation. Each fee covers a defined scope of work. Where additional costs may arise — for instance, court filing fees — these are communicated before they are incurred.

What only we offer
Distinctive aspects of our practice
Consultation summary document
Every consultation concludes with a written summary. Families leave with a clear record of what was discussed, what options are available, and what the next steps would be — at no additional cost.
No-commitment first conversation
An initial consultation is a space to understand your situation, not a commitment to engage us further. We believe families should feel free to think without pressure before deciding what to do next.
Bilingual capability
Our team works in both English and Thai. International clients and mixed-nationality families are supported in the language that feels most natural to them throughout the process.
Mediation-first where appropriate
We encourage resolution over litigation wherever family relationships and circumstances allow for it. Many matters that might otherwise reach court can be handled with care through well-supported mediation.
